Setting up multi-factor authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security protocol that requires users to provide a time-sensitive code from an authentication app before being allowed to log in to Tablion. Users can activate or deactivate MFA for their own account while they are logged in.

How to set up multi-factor authentication

  1. Select 'My Account' from your username dropdown.

  1. Select 'Enable Multi-factor Authentication'.

Note: If the user account already has MFA enabled, it can instead be disabled from this screen by selecting 'Disable Multi-factor Authentication' (below).

  1. Prepare one of the following applications (this will be the application that receives the time-sensitive codes):

  1. Select 'Next'.

  1. Using the application you chose, scan the displayed QR code.

  1. Complete any additional set-up required of you by your chosen authentication application, then enter its time-sensitive code and select 'Next'.

  1. MFA is now enabled for the relevant user account. Next time the user logs in, they will need to input their chosen authentication app's time-sensitive code to do so.
