# User Accounts

Tablion user accounts represent an authenticated identity within Tablion, typically but not mandatorily assigned to one user.

Each user account has a role assigned by an Administrator (see [*User Roles in Tablion*](https://tablion-help.aristotlemetadata.com/tablion-data-portal#different-roles-that-users-of-tablion-can-play)*)* which dictates what features of the system they can access.

### Functionality of User Accounts

Users can:

* Edit their profile
* Change their password
* Enable or disable multi-factor authentication (MFA)
* Manage data passport applications and data requests (as relevant to their role)
* Access Administrator tools (Administrators only)
