Viewing basic historical dataset data

Basic historical dataset data can only be viewed by Administrators.

Basic historical dataset data includes all of the details that can be viewed via a dataset's 'Overview' tab during configuration. Related fields include:

  • Name

  • Definition

  • Dataset type

  • Contact point.

How to view basic historical dataset data

  1. Select 'Admin tools' from your username dropdown.

  1. Select 'Versions'.

  1. Select 'View versions' from the 'Datasets' row.

  1. Select 'See versions' from the row of the dataset you wish to view the basic historical data of.

  1. Select the date/time you wish to view the historical data from.

  1. Review the basic historical dataset data. Version fields are defined as follows:

  • Id: Tablion's technical, non-configurable identifier for this dataset

  • From_aristotle: Whether or not this dataset has been synced from an Aristotle Metadata Registry

  • Item_base: Tablion's technical, non-configurable identifer for this dataset's distribution group

  • Identifier_uri: A link to this dataset's instance in the Aristotle Metadata Registry is was synced from, if applicable

  • Name: The name of the dataset as configured by an Administrator

  • Definition: The definition of the dataset as configured by an Administrator

  • Contact_point: The dataset's contact point as configured by an Administrator

  • Datasetdistributiongroup_set: The distributions that have been grouped with this dataset via the Aristotle Metadata Registry, if applicable

  • Datasetdistributionpath_set: The distributions that have been grouped with this dataset via the Aristotle Metadata Registry, if applicable, in list format

  • Distributions: The dataset's distributions as configured by an Administrator.

  1. If you wish to review the historical data as raw JSON, select the 'Raw Data' tab.
